Day 1: MEETING THE SRILANKAN
Upon Arrival welcome & assistance by our representative and Transfer to Negombo, check into the hotel in Negombo and refresh at the hotel and relax at Beach in Negombo
Negombo – A characteristic fishing town 6Kms from the international airport, Negombo has a fascinating and picturesque beachfront. The town has several buildings dating back to the Dutch and Portuguese Colonial days. Also, may enjoy some nice sea foods like lobsters, crabs, prawns, etc.

After breakfast, depart for Kandy, stopping along the way to visit the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage and assist in baby elephant milk bottle feeding and transporting elephants to the river for bathing.
Reach the Kandy hotel Check into the Kandy hotel and relax there. Afternoon sightseeing in Kandy: visit the Art and Crafts Center and Gem Bureau, and view a documentary film too on how Sri Lankan gem mining is traditionally done. Visit the “Holy Temple of the Tooth of the Buddha.” This temple, the most important one for the Sri Lankan Buddhists, was built in the 16th century A.D. solely for the purpose of housing the tooth relic. Next day, leave for Anuradhapura via Dambulla road en route to visit Spice gardens which grow spices and herbs used for Sri Lankan cuisine and medication, Spices of Sri Lanka attracted the early sea-faring merchants who made the long voyages to purchase this precious merchandise.
Thereafter proceed to The Aukana Buddha Statue. It is one of the best examples of a standing statue constructed in ancient Sri Lanka.
Evening reaches to Anuradhapura the first Sri Lankan ancient capital and center of the island Buddhist civilization and visit for few sightseeing in Anuradhapura.

The following day after breakfast, sightseeing in Anuradhapura. Thereafter proceed to Trinco en route to visit Mihintale which is east of the Anuradhapura. It is another rock 1000 feet in height, one of the peaks of the mountainous range. Though the site was called Missaka Pabbata or Cetiyagiri or Sagiri, today it is popularly known as Mihintale -the cradle of Buddhism in Sri Lanka.

After breakfast sightseeing in Trincomalee, which is a natural harbor. Horatio Nelson, the British admiral of the 18th century had described Trincomalee as the finest harbor in the world. Trincomalee offers some of the best sea bathing in the country. In the northern stretch of Trinco’, known as Nilaweli, a shallow beach goes up to half a mile into the sea. The hot wells and the Pigeon Islands are the important places of tourist interest in the vicinity. There is an old Portuguese/Dutch fort reminiscent of the Colonial era and Koneswaram Hindu Temple

Next drive down to Dambulla en route you may experience elephant ride in Habarana. Elephant ride takes around the bund of an ancient man made rainwater reservoir named Giritala wewa, even crosses a part of the lake where you could get your feet wet whilst still seated on the elephant.
Afternoon visit Dambulla Cave Temple, Dambulla is a magnificent rock temple consisting of 5 caves, on a hill 340 m high, containing 150 serene statues of Buddha, numerous carvings & murals.
Late evening check into the hotel in Kandalama, refresh and relax at the Hotel.

The following day, leave for Sigiriya and climb Sigiriya rock fortress. The Lion Rock Citadel, Sigiriya was the Royal Citadel of King Kasyapa.
Thereafter proceed to Polonnaruwa. Then Lunch at a local restaurant in Polonnaruwa after lunch sightseeing in Polonnaruwa.
After that drive to Passikudah, evening check into the Hotel in Passikudah and refresh and relax at the beach.

After breakfast, leisure at Passikudah Beach. Kalkudah & Passekudah are two very fine beaches on the East Coast. Kalkudah Bay, a 2 km long stretch of beach-located 32 km north of Batticaloa-is well protected from the monsoon by an offshore reef. Passekudah Bay is another wide beach 4 km long, just south of Kalkudah. The two beaches form an ideal stretch for bathing, windsurfing and water skiing.

On the day 09 leave for Arugam bay en route to visit Batticaloa. It is famous for its Singing Fish and picturesque lagoon. On full moon nights a faint but distinct musical sound rises from the lagoon waters. This is attributed to a noise emanated by a kind of fish found in the lagoon. A Dutch Fort near the lagoon is another tourist attraction.
Thereafter proceed to Arugam bay and reach the Arugam bay hotel. Then refresh at Arugam bay hotel and in the afternoon drive to Kumana bird sanctuary, evening return to the hotel.

Early morning check out from hotel with packet breakfast to visit Lahugala National park
Lahugala National park is one of the smallest national parks in Sri Lanka. Despite its land area, The park is an important habitat for Sri Lankan Elephants and endemic birds of Sri Lanka.
Thereafter drive to Yala Via Monaragala, Buttala and en route you may visit Kataragama temple,
It’s a Hindu & Buddhist Temple complex dedicated to Skanda – Murukan also known as Kataragama deviyo.

Next day, early morning with packet breakfast, Jeep Safari to Yala National park situated 309 Kms south of Colombo. Yala is approximately 1259 sq Kms. In extent to located in southeastern corner of the Island Sri Lankan largest and most popular national park where world best place to observe leopards natural habitat in the noon time, you can enjoy wildlife including Elephants, Bears, wild Bears, Buffalos, Monkeys and many more animals if you lucky also you could see lot of different types of birds.
After that, drive to Dickwella through the coast en route to visit Hambantota fishing village and salt plant.

After breakfast leisure at Dickwella beach or early morning with packet breakfast around 06.00am leave for Mirissa for Dolphin and whales watching.
Whale Watching is becoming very popular and even the Sri Lanka navy has started whale watching tours to cater to the high demand. (Season 01st Jan – 30th April & 01st Nov – 20th Dec)
Thereafter drive back to Dickwella resort, refresh at the Hotel and relax at Dickwella beach.

The following morning, leave for the Sinharaja rain forest, reach the Sinharaja hotel and refresh at the hotel. Afternoon trekking at the Sinharaja rain forest.
Sinharaja Rain Forest – Sinharaja is Sri Lanka’s last existing tropical rainforest. More than 60% of the trees are endemic and many of them are considered rare. There is much endemic wildlife, especially birds, but the forest is also home to over 50% of Sri Lanka’s endemic species of mammals and butterflies, as well as many kinds of insects, reptiles and rare amphibians.

After breakfast drive to Colombo. In the afternoon sightseeing and shopping in Colombo. Visit BMICH, Independence square, Town Hall, Buddhist temple, old parliament, Galle Face Green and residential area, shopping in Majestic City shopping complex, House of Fashion and the ODEL Unlimited Dress Boutique, also visit the Ceramic cooperation showroom Noritake shopping.

On the last day, leave for the airport for the departure transfer.
